The series is exciting because while the show compromises nothing, each episode demonstrates how sponsors can be seamlessly and effectively integrated into the program with vignettes that are dedicated to a sponsor’s interests. The piece on Oakley in the Fort Worth show is a great example of this integration.

With moving comes maturity. That’s exactly what happened for Temecula, California-born Dustin Lovelis and his music when he packed his van and relocated further west to Long Beach. As former guitarist for Island Records artist Letter Kills, Dustin’s new surroundings pushed him to create music inspired by music his parents introduced him to in his childhood. After writing a few songs solo, Dustin’s brother Graham jumped on board to help write, and, within a month, they gained two more to become what is today’s The Fling – an organic indie rock quartet heavily influenced by The Beatles later work. Shortly after, they began packing bars and venues in Long Beach and all over Southern California, as well as getting playtime on Los Angeles-based radio station KROQ and other independent stations all over the country. Recently, Chopshop was awarded the opportunity to partner up with The Fling and place some of their music in an upcoming project for partner clients Harley-Davidson and pro snowboarder Jeremy Jones. The Fling’s first release, Ghost Dance EP, is available through the band’s Myspace page , and on iTunes.
